Ducks Stuff: Monday Edition

■ The softball team brought out the brooms as they swept the puppies 5-3 yesterday.

Up Next: The Ducks return to Eugene for the final home series of the regular season. Oregon hosts Utah for a three-game series starting Friday at The Jane. Senior day festivities will take place before Sunday's series finale.

■ The baseball team beat USC 2-1 to clinch the series yesterday.

On deck: The Ducks will play game four of the Civil War series on Tuesday. First pitch against the beav trash is 5:35 p.m. at PK Park.

■ Kenyon Yovan struck out 15 batters as the Ducks snapped their losing stream to beat USC 9-2.

On deck: The Ducks and Trojans will play the rubber match today at 12 p.m.

■ The softball team beat the puppies 4-2 and will look to complete the sweep later today (1pm on ESPN2).

■ The offense beat the defense in yesterday's Spring Game and made some strong impressions.

■The softball team clinched the series with Stanford 4-1 and look for the sweep later today (noon).

■ The baseball team got swept in the Civil War series losing 12-5.

On Deck: The Ducks play at Portland in a non-conference game that was rescheduled from February 21.

On deck: Oregon returns to Pac-12 Conference play with a three-game series at the dawgs starting on Friday. The Ducks and Huskies play at 4 p.m. on Friday, with a 2 p.m. first pitch on both Saturday and Sunday. All three games will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network.

■ The softball team run-ruled Arizona (game that was postponed Saturday) 8-0 and then completed the sweep winning 10-0 yesterday.

Up Next: Oregon heads to Tempe to take on No. 7 ranked Arizona State in a three-game series starting Friday. The Sun Devils took 2-of-3 games this weekend at Oregon State, including a 2-1 win in 15 innings on Sunday.

■ The baseball team got no-hit by WSU 7-0 yesterday.

On deck: Oregon will host Portland at PK Park on today at 6 p.m. The game as originally scheduled for Tuesday, but was moved to Monday because of rain forecasted for Tuesday.

■ The baseball team swept a double-header against WSU winning 2-1 and then 4-2 at PK Park yesterday.

On Deck: The Ducks and Cougars are scheduled to play the series finale Saturday at 2 p.m. with Kolby Somers (1-3, 3.16 ERA) getting the start for the Ducks. If weather forces a cancellation, the two teams will play game three on Sunday at noon.

■ Gwen Svekis smashed 2 homers as the #5 Ducks beat #9 Arizona 5-2 yesterday.

Up Next: Oregon and Arizona meet at noon on Saturday for the second game of the three-game series.

■ QB Justin Herbert received a pretty cool honor yesterday for his Academic All-American accomplishments.
